The Gripper Digital Cable Tension Meter provides technicians a simple method for maintaining correct cable tension in autopilot flight control systems and is small enough to fit into tight areas. The small sensor head and separate handheld display box make it easier to view the measurement readings while adjusting the cable tension. The informative display box screen shows the temperature, cable size, and battery strength. This tensiometer is simple to use and has no extra parts. The unit comes calibrated, certified, and ready to use out of the box. Just turn on the unit and select the correct cable size. The Gripper has been designed so local calibration shops can certify their tools using the calibration information that is specified in user manuals.

This Gripper tensiometer kit (EDMO# CTRDHWl150) includes the 10 — 150 lb range sensor unit and the 10 — 30 lb sensor unit for testing autopilot control cables and bridle cables on general aviation aircraft. Also this kit supports control cable sizes 1/16, 3/32, 1/8, 5/32, 3/16 inches and bridle cable sizes 1/16, 3/32, 1/8 inches.
