Product Description

The ResQLink View RLS Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) is engineered and tested to withstand even the harshest elements. This Personal Locator Beacon requires no subscription to use and features a digital display indicating the PLB's status in real-time with GPS coordinates, and includes the new Return Link Service (RLS) feature.

This lightweight and compact PLB uses GPS positioning, a powerful 406 MHz transmitter, and a 121.5 MHz homing signal to quickly and accurately relay its GPS position to the worldwide network of search and rescue satellites — narrowing the search area to less than 100 meters. In addition to being easy-to-use, the ResQLink includes a built-in strobe light and an infrared strobe to facilitate nighttime or low visibility rescue operations. The innovative design combines multifunction clips with the ResQLink View RLS to provide a multitude of wearable options for a diverse range of activities.

Beacons with RLS provide confirmation to the user that their beacon’s emergency distress message has been received and that their location has been detected. RLS works by sending a signal back through the Cospas Sarsat satellite network to confirm to the beacon user that the distress message from a beacon has been received and their location has been detected. User confirmation is distinctly indicated by a flashing blue light and a corresponding confirmation message on the digital display.
