The PrepPRO™ Coax/UTP cable preparation tool (EDMO# 45-605) eliminates the need to carry multiple cable prep tools as well as the need to make adjustments based on the type coax cable. A fixed blade height combined with an optimized design cuts cleanly through cables in as little as two rotations of the tool. The spring loaded jaw design provides a continual balance of force required to cut a variety of cables quickly and cleanly. 

The PrepPRO cable tool has a contoured body with a spinner ring that fits neatly into pockets and clips onto clothing, with a flat side that prevents the tool from getting stuck in tool poaches. The tool has a prep-and-pull design that allows users to remove the cable slug if desired. The lever can be actuated with the thumb or palm grip, and a secondary chamber stores spare cartridges. Also included is a UTP/STP cartridge for removing the the outer jacket of twisted part cabling CAT3/5e/6.
