Product Description

The Bird 5017D Thru-Line Power Sensor functions as an external power meter for the 8800S* & 3550R** digital radio test sets. With the required software installed, the 5017D provides simultaneous forward and reverse power measurements up to 500 watts and VSWR measurements that are displayed to the screen. This device requires no field calibration and only calibration once per year and is traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The 5017D Thru-Line Power Sensor measures True Average Power, Peak Power, and Duty Cycle directly with exceptional accuracy and uses these precise measurements to calculate a wide range of other important factors, such as VSWR, Return Loss, Reflection Coefficient, Crest Factor, Average Burst Power and CCDF.
