Product Description

The AA83 (EDMO# AA83-100M4) InterMusic™ Crew Intercom supports four stereo positions and can be linked to a rear AA82 passenger system via the ICS Tie line for true split-bus stereo operation for up to 10 users. When connected to an AA82 unit, pilots can create passenger entertainment loops within the aircraft and link them to the flight crew for common intercom and radio monitor functions.

Features

  • This AA83 InterMusic™ Crew Intercom (EDMO# AA83-100M4):
  • ICS tie line feature allows for integration into a multi-unit system
  • Pilot/Split/All modes: in split mode, the AA83 and AA82 become independent intercoms supporting separate ICS groups
  • VOX/Live/PTT modes separate VOX controls for the pilot and passengers
  • Individual controls for music and ICS volume
  • A wide band stereo music processor combined with the intercom RX functions provides an integrated communication system
  • Internally adjustable RX volume, RX balance, ICS balance, music balance, bass and music mute
  • Features:
  • ANF™ (Active Noise Filtering) provides clean and clear intercom communications by filtering out unwanted ambient noise
  • Built with high quality components such as sealed gold plated contacted switches, dry nitrogen filled/high vibration rated sealed relays, gold contact connector and a fully masked, post coated, flame retardant circuit board
  • Pilot Isolated Mode provides pilots with a separate communications channel that is separate from passenger intercom or music
  • Music is muted during all radio and ICS activity and slowly returns to normal volume when ICS operation is finished
  • 11 to 32 VDC power input
  • Headset output power rating: 100mw into 600Ω per channel
  • Bicolor LED-ICS/Tx activity indicator lights up amber for ICS activity and green for transmit
  • Pilots can override the co-pilot during radio operations
  • Individual microphone gating reduces aircraft noise within the intercom through independent microphone circuits
  • Horizontal or vertical mount options available
  • Emergency Fail-Safe automatically bypasses the ICS feature and is routed back to the radio audio system in the event of power loss
  • Short circuit protection ensures continued operation in the event of headset failure
