The HX4 open frame crimp tool qualified to AS22520/5 and comparable products in this series offer unparalleled versatility and a positive ratchet system that ensures a complete crimp each time. Interchangeable Y dies, many of which are mil-spec qualified, lock easily into place and eliminate the need for different fixed die tool for each application.

These tools are ideal for crimping contacts for most AS39029 coaxial and triaxial connectors, insulated and uninsulated terminals, wire splices, and some end caps. Available crimp styles include hexagonal, circular, nest and indent, B crimp, and more.

A variety of die configurations are also available for insulated and uninsulated terminal lugs, wire splices and end caps relating to M7928, MS17143, MS25036, MS25181, MS27429, MS25274, MS20659, M81824, MS21003 through MS21015, and commercial part numbers.  Several power contacts too large for conventional hand tools can also be crimped by the HX4.
