Product Description

VIAVI Visual Fault Locators (VFL) locates optical fiber damage and breaks quickly and easily as well as problem areas in fiber cables. This tool is capable of pinpointing sharp bends, breaks, and damages in fiber, conducting end-to-end continuity tests, and performing fiber tracing and identification. The FFL-100 is equipped with a 2.5 mm interface and is compatible with SC, ST, and FC connectors. An optional 1.25 mm adapter adds compatibility with LC and MU connectors. When in use, the VFL emits a bright red (Class II) laser beam that makes damages in the fiber visible from a distance. The light can either be set to flash or to provide continuous light according to the operator's preferences.
