Product Description
NAT Tac/Com__ Tactical FM
Communication systems were developed in close consultation with Law
Enforcement, Emergency Medical and Forestry agencies. The focus on
development was to address common problems associated with complex
multi-radio installations for multi-mission aircraft such as limited
panel space, simultaneous operation, inexperienced users, complex
operational modes, high frequency volumes, and future upgradeability.
The Tac/Com__
family is a series of configurable multiple radio control heads, agile
transceivers and supplemental equipment. The modular control heads,
capable of operating either NAT or various alternative manufacturer
radios, such as RT9600, RT138, Motorola Trunking, and URC-200, can
provide simultaneous control for up to four transceivers from a single
control. Operational features include alpha-numeric labeling of all
channels (HOSPITAL and POLICE instead of 154.785 MHz), and on-line help
screens. Synthesized agile transceivers cover VHF and UHF FM bands and
provide multiple scanning modes, synthetic guard, priority scanning,
CTCSS tones, DPL squelch control, and optional DES encryption
capability. Supplemental equipment includes encryption
encoders/decoders, DTMF keypads, relay-simulcast controllers, and
attenuator pads.
The
ability to design a communication system to suit each application while
maintaining ease of installation and operation is the philosophy of the
Tac/Com__ family. Installations can be a single control and
transceiver or a complex combination of up to four transceivers, dual
master/slave controls, DTMF keypads, relay-simulcast controller and
tone burst generator.
The Tac/Com__ series supports many applications and provides remarkable flexibility to accommodate specialized mission aircraft. Tac/Com__ offers operators the opportunity to improve their communications capability effectively and efficiently.
All Tac/Com__ NTX series transceivers are harness & tray compatible and Tac/Com II__ 250/350 series control heads can be retrofitted into existing C722, C962 or C1000 (3"" Dzus) openings.
Software based and modular in design, Tac/Com__
is designed to be upgraded as your needs change. Options and
accessories include remote attenuators for European installations, and
stackable mounting trays for installations in a limited space.
