The 7-5001 Logic Converter Unit (LCU) ensures seamless integration between Chelton’s tunable antennas and the ARC210 Gen 5 radio, maintaining reliable broadband, frequency-hopping V/UHF secure communications for military aircraft. Designed specifically for the 12-5001 antenna, the LCU converts frequency data from the radio into tuning commands, optimizing antenna performance while remaining compatible with legacy systems. 

Powered by a 28 VDC aircraft supply, the LCU supports up to two compatible antennas and includes built-in diagnostic capabilities (BIT) to monitor system health and drive lines. Constructed from aluminum alloy with enhanced EMC protection, it also serves as a direct replacement for the 7-151 LCU in ARC210 Gen 4 to Gen 5 upgrades.
